Hey y’all!

My name is Jennifer.

I started Southern Strange so I could both tell and preserve uniquely Southern stories, while not shying away from the area’s complex history.

I am a native Georgia storyteller with roots in Tennessee and the Carolinas. I have always had an interest in the spooky, strange, and supernatural. I watched a lot of Unsolved Mysteries and Dateline growing up.

My approach to true crime is that it should be victim focused. My cousin was murdered the year before I was born and I have seen how such a violent loss affects a family. I always want to be empathetic and factual. Because of this I mainly focus on unsolved cases and cases where the victim’s family has specifically asked for attention.

My goal is simple: preserve forgotten stories before they disappear. Thank you for being here and keeping these cases alive.
